Who I am
I'm Rosemary MacLennan-Crump, a strength and menopause coach trading as Rosie Strong. You can contact me at rosie@blossomwithrosie.co.uk (this will be updated to rosie@rosiestrong.co.uk shortly).
This privacy policy explains what personal information I collect, why I collect it, and what I do with it. I'll keep it as plain as possible because privacy policies are already boring enough.
What information I collect and why
When you visit this website
This website is hosted by Squarespace, which automatically collects some basic information to keep the site running and to help me understand how people find and use it. This includes information about your browser, network and device, pages you visited before arriving here, pages you visit on this site, your IP address, and basic usage data like clicks and timestamps.
I use this information to understand site traffic and improve the website. Squarespace processes this data on my behalf. You can read Squarespace's privacy policy at squarespace.com/privacy.
When you fill in a contact form or enquiry form
If you get in touch via a form on this website, I collect the information you provide (typically your name, email address, and the details of your enquiry). I use this to respond to you and, where relevant, to discuss working together.
This information is stored through Squarespace.
When you sign up to my newsletter
If you subscribe to my newsletter, I collect your name and email address. I use Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to manage my mailing list and send emails. Kit processes your data on my behalf. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
You can read Kit's privacy policy at kit.com/privacy.
When you book an appointment
Bookings are handled through Acuity Scheduling (acuityscheduling.com). When you book a call or session, Acuity collects your name, email address, phone number, and any details relevant to the appointment. Acuity processes this data on my behalf. You can read Acuity's privacy policy at acuityscheduling.com/privacy.
When you become a coaching client
If you join Stronger, Fitter You or book 1-to-1 coaching with me, I collect personal information necessary to deliver that service safely and effectively. This includes your name, contact details, health history, and information about your fitness, menopause symptoms, and relevant medical background.
Some of this information is health-related, which means it's classed as "special category data" under UK data protection law. I collect it only because it's necessary to provide coaching services, and I handle it with extra care.
I use Trainerize to deliver and track online coaching programmes. Trainerize processes relevant data on my behalf. You can read their privacy policy at trainerize.com/privacy.
How long I keep your information
I keep client data for as long as you're actively working with me, and for up to seven years afterwards in line with standard business record-keeping requirements. Newsletter subscribers' data is held for as long as you remain subscribed. If you'd like me to delete your data sooner, just get in touch.
Who I share your information with
I don't sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes. The only parties I share data with are the service providers listed above (Squarespace, Kit, Acuity, Trainerize), and only to the extent needed to deliver the services they provide.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access the personal data I hold about you, ask me to correct anything that's wrong, ask me to delete your data (in most circumstances), object to or restrict how I use your data, and receive your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email rosie@blossomwithrosie.co.uk.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how I've handled your personal data, please contact me directly first by emailing rosie@blossomwithrosie.co.uk. I'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and do my best to resolve it promptly.
If you're not satisfied with my response, you have the right to escalate your complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator. You can contact the ICO at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This website uses cookies, including those set by Squarespace for site functionality and analytics. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, though disabling some cookies may affect how the site works.
Changes to this policy
I'll update this page if anything changes. The date at the top tells you when it was last updated.
